Scholarships for M.Sc. in Rehabilitation Science in Bangladesh

SAARC Development Fund offers scholarships for the students of SAARC member countries to study in Bangladesh. The scholarships are for M.Sc in Rehabilitation Science. Bangladesh Health Professionals institute (BHPI), Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralyzed (CRP ) under the faculty of medicine and the University of Dhaka are inviting applications. CRP-BHPI is the responsible entity for delivering the scholarships to the students.The program is for a two-years M.Sc Program only. 

The applicants have to submit their application in hard form to the Bangladesh Embassy in their country. The program has provided both an admission form and scholarship form that applicants can print from the website(link given at the end). 

SAARC member countries: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.

The scholarships are assessed based on academic performance, relevant work experience, English proficiency, number of publications, and motivational letter. There is an application fee (USD 70) applicable for admission of each foreign student.

Number of Scholarships for M.Sc. in Rehabilitation Science

For the 8th batch, there are total of 39 seats for admission. Out of which 27 seats are for admission with scholarships: ten (10) full scholarships and five (5) partial scholarships will be reserved for students from SAARC member countries except Bangladesh. 

Seven (7) full scholarships and five (5) partial scholarships will be available for students from Bangladesh. Three (3) seats will be available for self-financing students.

The scholarships for SAARC members is a fully funded program to study in Bangladesh. The award covers:

Eligibility Criteria for scholarship for Ms.C in Rehabilitation Science

The applicants applying from SAARC member countries must fulfill the requirements for scholarship for Ms.C in Rehabilitation Science:

  • Citizen of SAARC member Country mentioned above 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy/ Speech and Language Therapy, Medicine, Nursing, Prosthetics & Orthotics or an equivalent degree in health-related subjects from a public university or recognized by relevant government authority.
  • At Least one year internship/training/work experience in a recognised hospital/institute/center approved by the relevant government authority 
  • The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score is complementary.

Document requirements for the scholarship

The applicants must carefully submit their documents for scholarship. Following are the required documents for the program as below:

  • Copy of Passport
  • Copy Secondary school certificate/O level/ equivalent examination marksheet/transcript ( Attested by Foreign Ministries of your country 
  • Higher secondary school certificate/A level/equivalent examination marksheet/transcript (attested by Foreign Ministries of your country)
  • Bachelor program mark sheet/transcript (attested by Foreign Ministries of your country)
  • English Proficiency Certificate (IELTS) 
  • Journal Publication 
  • 6 copies of recent passport size photographs 
  • Motivation letter 
  • Reference letters 

Documents are one of the most essential parts of the application. Therefore, carefully include all the relevant documents and experiences that can bring you closer to winning the scholarship. 

Deadline for Scholarship in Rehabilitation Science?

The last date to apply for the M.Sc scholarship in Rehabilitation science is April 30, 2024, 17.00 Hours, Bangladesh time). Applications submitted after the deadline will not be accepted. The applicants will be notified of the admission on June 15,2024.

How to apply for a Scholarship in the Rehabilitation Science Program?

Unlike other scholarship Programs, M.Sc Rehabilitation in Science accepts hard copies of the application. The applicants will submit hard copies of the application form and all other documents attested by the ( Foreign Ministries of their respective countries) at the embassy of Bangladesh or high commission.
