Padua International Excellence Scholarship Program in Italy 

The University of Padua Italy offers fully funded scholarships for International students named the Padua International Excellence Scholarship. The scholarship is for English-taught bachelor’s master’s and single-degree programs.

Benefits of Padua International Excellence scholarship

The Padua Scholarship includes:

  • Full Tuition Fee Waiver (except a small regional tax + administrative fee).
  • €8,000 Annual Stipend (paid in two installments of €4,000).
  • Duration:
    • 2 Years for Master’s students.
    • 3 Years for Bachelor’s/Single-Cycle students.
  •  Represent Padua at global events.

Eligibility Criteria for the scholarship

To qualify for the Padua International Excellence Scholarship 2025:

  1. Non-Italian citizens (dual citizenship including Italian is allowed).
  2. Must reside outside Italy at the time of application.
  3. For Undergraduate Applicants: Non-Italian high school diploma.
  4. Master’s Applicants: Non-Italian Bachelor’s degree.
  5. Apply to 1–3 English-taught programs at the University of Padua.
  6. Demonstrate outstanding academic records.

Students can apply to up to 3 degree programs at the University of Padua.

Note: Scholarships are highly competitive and prioritize first-period applicants.

Required Documents for Padua International Excellence Scholarship

When applying for your degree program, submit:

  1. Academic transcripts and diplomas (translated to English/Italian).
  2. Proof of English proficiency (if required by your program).
  3. Copy of passport or ID.
  4. Program-specific materials (e.g., motivation letter, portfolio).

No separate scholarship application needed. Apply for the program, if you fulfill the eligibility requirement above, the university will automatically consider you for scholarship. 

How to Apply?

  1. Select up to 3 English-taught programs of your choice.
  2.  Apply via the university portal during the first application period for priority consideration.
  3. Eligible applicants are automatically considered for the scholarship evaluation process. 

Deadlines for Padua International Excellence scholarship Program 

  • First Period (Limited-access programs): January 7, 2025 – March 7, 2025.
  • Second Period (If slots remain): March–May 2025.

Results Announced: From March 12, 2025 (Check Here).

1. Up to 62 Padua International Excellence Scholarships

These scholarships are awarded to one top student per English-taught degree program (excluding online programs). The full list of eligible programs is available mentioned above. 

Note: The online Bachelor’s degree in Techniques and Methods in Psychological Science is not eligible.


2. Up to 31 Additional Department-Specific Scholarships

The following departments offer extra scholarships for specific programs:

Department of Biomedical Science (DBS)

  • 1 scholarship: Bachelor’s in Biology of Human and Environmental Health

The Department of Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering (DICEA)

  • 2 scholarships: Master’s in Environmental Engineering
  • 2 scholarships: Master’s in Mathematical Engineering
  • 2 scholarships: Master’s in Water and Geological Risk Engineering

Department of Developmental Psychology and Socialisation (DPSS)

  • 1 scholarship: Master’s in Applied Child and Adolescent Psychology

Department of Industrial Engineering (DII)

  • 1 scholarship: Master’s in Aerospace Engineering
  • 1 scholarship: Master’s in Chemical and Process Engineering
  • 1 scholarship: Master’s in Electrical Energy Engineering
  • 1 scholarship: Master’s in Energy Engineering

  • 1 scholarship: Master’s in Clinical, Social, and Intercultural Psychology

Post-Acceptance Requirements

To maintain the scholarship:

  1. Earn 20 ECTS credits by November 30, 2026.
  2. Stay enrolled without transferring or withdrawing.
  3. Achieve 12 ECTS by March 2026 to receive the second stipend instalment.

Failure to meet these may require repaying the scholarship.
