  •  Age: Applicants must be NGO professionals aged between 25 and 40 years old, demonstrating a commitment to social impact and professional development.
  •  Professions: The program welcomes applicants from diverse fields, including community development, environment, education, gender, human rights, media and information technology, medical service, and social welfare. Outstanding candidates from other NGO sectors will also be considered.
  • Experience: Applicants should possess a minimum of three years of work experience in the NGO sector, demonstrating professional excellence, independence, and self-motivation. The ability to undertake an independent fellowship is essential for successful participation.
  • Nationalities: The program is open to applicants from the following regions:

 – Southeast Asia: Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.

  – South Asia: Bhutan, Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan.

 – Northeast Asia: Japan, South Korea, and Mongolia.

  • Language Proficiency: Proficiency in written and oral English is mandatory for all applicants. Fluency in Mandarin is considered advantageous, enhancing communication and collaboration during the program.

Fellowship Schedule:

The 2024 NGO Fellowship Program is scheduled to take place from September 29th to October 26th, 2024. The program itinerary includes the following key dates:

– September 29th: Arrival in Taipei

– September 30th – October 3rd: Workshop and site visits

  • October 4th: Roundtable event
  • October 5th – 24th: NGO field placement
  • October 25th: Program wrap-up
