Eligibility of British Academy Visiting fellowship
To be eligible for the British Academy Visiting Fellowships Program, applicants must:
- Be postdoctoral or have equivalent experience at the time of application.
- Not be in the process of completing a PhD or awaiting viva/submission of corrections.
- Be based outside the UK at the time of application.
- Not conduct research related to the fellowship outside the UK, though short fieldwork trips abroad may be permitted.
- Have a contract (permanent or fixed-term) that does not end before the fellowship concludes; independent scholars may apply.
- Demonstrate prior contact with the UK host institution.
