Fully funded Erasmus Mundus Joint Master degree program in public Health in Disasters is open for applications. Public health in Disasters is sponsored by the European Union through the Erasmus scholarship.
The program focuses on disaster in different dimensions. The students will learn strategies to address disaster reduction. They will get technical knowledge that will help them make effective decisions. Moreover, they will be able to analyze potential effects of the disaster.
Master in Public Health in Disaster is a full time two years program with 120 ECTS. The program takes you to three respected institutions across Europe: Universidad de Oviedo (Spain) for the Common Disaster Core, Karolinska Institutet (Sweden) for Public Health Response to Disasters, and University of Nicosia (Cyprus) for Epidemiology & Research in Disasters.
Erasmus Mundus scholarship for the Program
Erasmus Mundus scholarship is available to Partner country students and program country students. The scholarship is competitive. The selection is solely based on academic excellence, abilities and potentials, experience, and motivation for the course.
The scholarship program provides;

Eligibility Requirements:
- Undergraduate/Bachelor’s Degree: Recognized institution in the program’s operating countries (Spain, Sweden, Cyprus) or applicant’s country.
- Subject Areas: Health, Management & Administration, Law, Social or Technical Sciences (other profiles considered).
- Degree Length: Minimum three years, 180 ECTS (or equivalent) according to national and European regulations.
English Proficiency
Applicants must have a good command in English, the must prove a C1 English level as detailed below:
- -IELTS: minimum score 6.5 overall with 6.5 in writing and a minimum of 6.0 in all other elements, or
- -TOEFL (IBT): minimum score 79 points with at least 20 points in the writing section, or
- -TOEFL (paper based): minimum score 550 points
