Erasmus Mundus Master scholarship Program Flood Risk Management is currently open for applications. The 2 years masters degree is fully supported by Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters degree scholarship. It is open for all nationals.
The unique two-year Flood Risk Master’s program combines science, engineering, and socioeconomic topics through courses taught by top experts at four European universities. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates receive MSc degrees from IHE Delft, TU Dresden, UPC Barcelona, and University of Ljubljana.
Flooding is a major global challenge that is expected to worsen in the future. This master’s program addresses this challenge by training professionals with the interdisciplinary skills needed to tackle the environmental, social, and economic aspects of flood risk management.

Scholarship Benefits
- Participation costs: This includes tuition fees, library and laboratory costs, full insurance coverage, and any other mandatory costs related to the student’s participation in the Master’s program.
- Monthly allowance: Students receive a monthly allowance of €1,400 to cover subsistence, accommodation, travel, and installation costs for the entire duration of the EMJMD study program (up to 24 months).
- Contribution to individual needs: Students with disabilities may receive a contribution to individual needs up to a certain maximum if they fulfill the general eligibility conditions set in the grant agreement.
Eligibility Criteria for Erasmus Mundus Masters degree in Flood Risk Management
To qualify for the Flood Risk Management program, you must have a bachelor’s degree in a related field such as civil engineering, environmental sciences, geosciences, limnology, oceanography, geography, geology, or natural resources.
- Hold a first degree equivalent to a B.Sc. degree (180 ECTS credits)
- Achieve a minimum GPA of B/B+ (US System) or 2nd upper (UK System)
- Demonstrate proficiency in mathematics and water-related subjects
- Achieve a qualifying score on an internationally recognized English language test. Learn more about English language requirements here.
How to Apply for Erasmus Mundus Masters degree in Flood Risk Management
Applications can be submitted online. Only PDF, Word/Doc, and JPEG files with a maximum file size of 2 MB per file will be accepted.If you have not yet obtained your BSc degree, attach a statement from your university confirming your expected graduation date.If you are exempt from English language testing, please provide documentation to support this.Complete and submit the online application form.

Applications received after these dates will be taken into consideration for academic admission, but not for Erasmus Mundus Scholarship or Scholarship reduced fee. In that case you need to submit your application before 30th April 2025, 23:59 CET.
If you do not need a visa for Germany the deadline of application and financial confirmation is 31st July 2025, 23:59 CET
