Fulbright Foreign Student Program for the students of Lebanon 

Fulbright Scholarship Program Fulbright Foreign Student program is open for applications for 2025-2026. The fully funded scholarship program is a two year academic program. The program gives an opportunity to the students of Lebanon to graduate from the United States. It is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State through U.S. Embassy Beirut.U.S Embassy Beirut is taking care of the process. 

The Fulbright Program is a way for the U.S. government to share education and culture with other countries, and to learn from them to.The Program works with 160 countries around the world, and helps people from the United States and other countries to connect with each other, to share knowledge, and to make the world a better place.

The Fulbright Foreign Student Program helps Lebanese students to study at a higher level in the United States. The program selects people who have good academic skills, leadership potential, and can adapt to life in the United States. When they join the Fulbright Program, they also join a global community of Fulbright alumni who are active and committed.

The Fulbright Foreign Student Program is supported by the U.S. government and managed by Amideast in the Middle East and North Africa region.

Eligibility requirements for fulbright Foreign student Program 

The Fulbright Program welcomes qualified individuals regardless of their race, religion, national or ethnic origin, geographic location, socio-economic status, disability, or gender identity. The program encourages individuals with disabilities to apply.The applicants must fulfill the following requirements for the scholarship program given below:

  • Lebanese citizen or a holder of the Special Travel Document for Palestinian Refugees issued by the Lebanese Government
  • Residence in Lebanon throughout the application, selection and placement process
  • Two years of professional work experience if applying to MBA programs
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution by June 2025
  • Applicants with low proficiency in English will have to attend a Long-Term English (LTE) program prior to the start of the study program if deemed necessary.

 Preference is given to students who have little or no previous experience studying or living in the United States. Applicants of all backgrounds, including those with disabilities, are encouraged to apply

Note- U.S. citizens or green card holders are not eligible to apply. 

Documents requirement

Fulbright Foreign Student Program requires the applicant to submit:

  • Completed online application 
  • Official university transcripts; In case applicants are unable to secure official transcripts, an unofficial copy must be provided instead;
  • Curriculum Vitae 
  • Three letters of reference 
  • Two essays in English, up to 600 words each in length:
  • A personal statement 
  • A study objective essay related to your field of study;
  • Copy of passport biodata and photo page (if available)

Deadline for the Program 

The submission deadline for all materials is Thursday, May 2, 2024 (11:59 p.m. Beirut Time) including the online application and the supporting documents to AMIDEAST.

How to Apply for a Fulbright Foreign Student program?

The online platform is the only way to submit your application. The program  will not accept any applications that are late or incomplete. Fulbright Program participants must go back to their home country  and stay there for at least two years after they complete fulbright graduation. 

Plagiarism is a serious offense that the Fulbright Program does not tolerate. Any applicant who copies any part of their application from another source will be eliminated from the selection process. Therefore, you must avoid any kind of plagiarism.
