Fulbright-Nehru Master's Fellowship Program

Fully funded fulbright-Nehru Master’s fellowship program is open for applications from the students of India. The fellowship program is for students who demonstrate excellent leadership qualities, and have degree equivalent to the US  bachelor’s degree. The program also requires three years of professional experience. 

Fulbright-Nehru Master’s fellowship program is for 2 years Master’s degree in the United State of America. One of the requirements of the program is returning home (India) after completion of the degree. It’s an incredible opportunity not only to acquire quality education, but also explore the diverse and rich culture of the United States, enjoying the parks of a fully funded program. 

Placement of successful applicants to the U.S institute is done by the Institute of International Education (IEE). Applicants are not required to follow the admission process. IEE/Fulbright fellowship program will apply on the behalf of the students upto four different universities. While applying, consider the student’s preferred institutions and competitiveness. 

Since other scholarship programs and grants are accepting applications. It is recommended by Fulbright to only apply for one fulbright program during the competitive cycle.

Eligibility Criteria for Fulbright-Nehru Fellowship Program 

Applicants applying for Fulbright nehru fellowship program must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

  • Four years Bachelor’s degree  from recognized indian institute with 55% marks or either have full-time postgraduate diploma from recognized institute of bachelor’s degree is less than 4 years/Master’s degree 
  • At least 3 years full-time (paid) professional experience 
  • Demonstrate leadership and community service experience 
  • Not have previously studied in U.S university or enrolled in a U.S degree program 
  • If employee must indicate that leave will be granted for the fellowship

English Proficiency Requirement 

Fulbright Nehru-Master’s fellowship program requires students to provide English proficiency certificates. It is not mandatory to submit TOEFL and GRE scores at the time of application. If recommended for the fellowship, USIEF will provide fee vouchers for the TOEFL exam. However, if you took TOEFL or GRE in 2023 or later, please upload your score report.

Documents requirement for Fulbright-Nehru Master’s Program 

Fulbright-Nehru fellowship Master’s program requires the applicant to submit complete information including: 

  • Curriculum vitae/resume
  • Copy of official transcripts and diploma/degree certificates from bachelor’s degree onwards
  • Test score reports, if available (e.g. TOEFL and GRE): Score Reports
  • Study objectives
  • Personal statement
  • Writing Sample 
  • Passport Copy 
  • PDF copy of FN Masters Applicant Annexure form 
  • Scanned Photocopies of Proof of your work/professional experience
  • FNMaster’s employer’s endorsement form 
  • Portfolio, if applicable 
  • Employment endorsement form 
  • Register three recommenders

How to Apply for the Fulbright-Nehru Fellowship Program ?

Like the Turkish Government scholarship program, the Fulbright Nehru Master’s program also submit applications for admission on the behalf of the students. Hence, leaving students with only fellowship applications.

Fill the application providing complete information, and upload all documents specified in the guidelines. You will also find step by step guidelines on the official page. Remember, any kind of plagiarism in the application will lead to disqualification. Also, applications received after the deadline will not be accepted.
