The program duration is 4-5 months. During the program, the students complete one semester in a US university. The program provides a stipend and covers travel, housing and health insurance.

UGRAD scholarship program is an exchange program. It helps students to explore US universities. The students participate in academic courses and community services. Once they return to their home country, they become part of the US alumni network. They get the opportunity to apply for funding for small projects. Moreover, they can prepare and are eligible to apply for Fulbright Master and PhD programs.

The applications for this program are in the fall. The process includes submitting an application with academic transcripts, a letter of recommendation, a personal statement and proof of English proficiency. However, applications can be submitted without an English proficiency certificate. Once a student is selected, TOFEL is finalized. 

According to rough estimates, around 250 young graduates from 60 countries are selected for the program. The program is not subject-restricted. Students studying in any field can apply. Fulbright Foreign Student Program

The Fulbright Foreign Student Program mainly supports individuals pursuing postgraduate degrees in the USA. This includes Master’s and Ph.D. programs at accredited U.S. universities.

The eligibility varies from country to country. However, it generally requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent. The scholarship is for graduate students, young professionals and researchers. The program benefits include:
