Fulbright Teaching Assistant Fellowship Program 

Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistance program is accepting applications from Pakistani applicants. It is a nine-months non degree program. The program provides an opportunity to the young teachers of English Language to enhance their teaching skills. Through this program, the selected participants will teach their native language to U.S students. The participants will get a chance to enhance their English Proficiency as well. They will participate in group conversations, extracurricular activities, and community projects. 

The participants are required to teach Urdu or Pashto at the selected U.S campuses. The program encourages applications from underserved communities or with diverse backgrounds. If you have teaching experience, do apply for this program. It will not only help to develop your professional skills but also get to explore the culture of the United State of America. It will help in networking, and using them for future opportunities.

Eligibility Criteria

Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistance program eligibility criteria is below, 

  • Pakistani national with a valid Pakistani Passport.
  • Resident in Pakistan throughout the nomination and selection process.
  • Be a young, early career educator.
  • Minimum of 16 years of formal education.
  • Be a teacher of the English language or a related field at the college or university level.
  • Preference to applicants with teaching experience

English Language Requirement

Applicants are not required to submit any English proficiency certificate at application stage. However, if you are selected for the program, USEFP will arrange a TOFEL test for you. Also, USEF will pay for the test.

  • The application includes personal, professional information

Deadline for the Program 

The deadline for the program is April 03,2024. 

How to apply for the Program

Applications is online. application includes academic transcripts, and letters of references. Submit a complete application before the deadline.

If you qualify for the fellowship, you will be notified either by phone or email. You will be required to submit medical history, an examination form, scanned copy of your valid passport and no objection certificate from employer/Government of Pakistan.
