Fully funded scholarship program ‘’Australia Awards scholarship’’ is accepting applications from Pakistani students. The scholarship 2026 is for Master’s level studies only. The program aims to promote prosperity, reduce poverty and help in political stability in the country.
It’s a prestigious international award that offers fully funded scholarships to students from developing countries including Pakistan. The scholarship not only helps students financially but a great way to build linkages with Australians, students from diverse backgrounds and networking opportunities.
There is no fee for application. The applications are evaluated based on academic competencies, professional and personal qualities and how the program helps them to become leaders in their own country.
Australia Awards benefits
Australia Awards scholarships are offered for the minimum period necessary for thAustralia Awards scholarships cover the minimum duration required for the recipient to complete the academic program offered by the Australian education institution, as well as any preparatory training.Scholarship recipients will benefit from the following:

Requirements of the scholarship program for Pakistani students
Applicants must be Pakistani citizens currently residing in Pakistan and applying for the scholarship from Pakistan. Not be a citizen of Australia, hold permanent residency in Australia or be applying for a visa to live in Australia Permanently, other requirements includes:
- Completed 16 years of education and five years of relevant work experience in Pakistan
- Not be more than 45 years of age at the time of submitting the application
- People with disability who meet the eligibility criteria may submit an application with an IELTS score of 6.0 with no band less than 5.0, but if they are selected, they must re-sit an English Language Proficiency test (to be arranged by Australia
- Awards – Pakistan) and achieve the required score before they can take up their scholarship
- Submit a Development Impact and Linkages Plan, which outlines clear objectives and motivations to contribute to development in Pakistan,
- Return to Pakistan at the completion of their study for at least two years
English Language Proficiency
For an Australia Award scholarship, you must have a standard English Language Proficiency test certificate with results valid as at 1 January,2026. Certificates with scores includes:
- IELTS (Academic) overall score of at least 6.5 with no band less than 6
- TOEFL Internet Based Test (iBT) score of at least 84, with a minimum of 21 in all sub-tests
- PTE Academic with overall score of 58 with no communicative skill score less than 50
Applicants with disability who are eligible can apply with IELTS 6.0 (minimum 5.0 in each band). However, they must pass another English test (organized by Australia Awards – Pakistan) with the required score to get the Scholarship.

How to Apply for Australia awards scholarship Program
Australia Award Scholarship application is through Online Australia Award scholarships Information system (OASIS).The first step in the process is to check your eligibility criteria through a self-assessment checklist that includes questions regarding your age, citizenship, marital status, residency in Australia and regarding military services. Once you submit the answer, it will tell you if you are eligible to apply for the program.
Apply through the application system before the deadline, make sure to read everything about courses, and individual course eligiblity requirements.
The selection process
If you are interested in applying for the Australian Awards Scholarship, please note the following steps and requirements. First, you need to submit your online application by the deadline and make sure you meet the eligibility criteria.
Second, your application will be reviewed and shortlisted by a panel of experts. Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted for further communication.
Third, you will be invited to an interview where you will be evaluated on your academic competence, potential outcome and leadership attributes. You should also provide evidence of your relevant work experience.
Fourth, if you are selected as a successful candidate, you will be notified in late 2025 and receive an offer letter.
Finally, you will need to comply with the visa and travel regulations of the Australian Government and the respective State or Territory governments before you can commence your studies in Australia.
