Fully funded scholarship program for IMS Master’s degree fall intake is open for applications. The DAAD German program provides fully funded scholarships to students to study two years of International Media Studies as a postgraduate program. The program is offered by DW Akademie. At least two years of work experience is required in the Media related field.
Remember, there is no age limit for DAAD scholarships, however, your last degree must not be more than six years.

Eligibility Criteria for the Scholarship program
General Requirements
Completion of an academic program (bachelor’s degree or equivalent) and minimum of two years of professional experience in a media-related field post their first degree. And his or her academic degrees must be less than six years old.

- Media representatives from radio, TV, online, and print.
- Journalists-in-training, particularly from electronic media.
- Journalists and management from community radio stations.
- Communication experts.
- NGO employees.
- Employees from ministries.
- Employees from cooperative development groups and projects.
- Representatives from regional working groups and national broadcasters.
- Media association representatives.
Applicants can demonstrate their motivation with a focus on development and can be anticipated to embrace social responsibility.
Language requirements
- IELTS (Band 6) certificate or TOEFL (minimum score: 550 paper based, 213 computer based, 80 internet based)
- (C1-Level or higher in accordance with the “Common European Framework”)
- Students can also submit English language certificate issued by the institution mentioning English as a medium of instruction

Application and Selection Procedure:
- Submit your complete application(s) directly to the relevant postgraduate course.
- A selection committee identifies potential candidates for a DAAD scholarship.
- DAAD contacts suggested candidates to upload their complete application to the DAAD Portal.
- Finalize the selection process, and inform suggested candidates accordingly.
