The Allan and Nesta Ferguson scholarship program is open for applications for international students. The scholarship program is for the students to study a full time Masters course in the school of Global development at University of Anglia.
The scholarship provides tuition fee and with a maintenance grant of £9,157 to live in the UK. This scholarship will help the students to cover the cost of living, travel and visa. The scholarship is for a Global development course and preference will be given to students from social science background. If you have a background in social science, you can apply for the scholarship showing financial need.
The scholarship is awarded on the basis of financial need. You need to prove that you are unable to afford to study for the selected program.

How to Apply for the scholarship program?
Unlike Turkish Scholarships that take care of student placement in a university. This scholarship requires you to submit two applications ;
- One for admission
- For scholarship
You must apply for admission in the courses given below offered by the University of University of Anglia. (link given with each course). Then you can apply for the scholarship program. (link given at the end). You must fulfill the program requirements. All of the courses require you to submit English Language proficiency.
Eligible course for the Allan and Nesta Ferguson scholarship program
These courses are open to UK, EU, and other international students.University of East Anglia which is a public research university in Norwich, England offer these courses.
MA Conflict, Governance and Global Development
It is a full time 1 year postgraduate program. The applicants will be awarded with the degree of Master of Arts.The course starts in September, 2024. To be eligible for the program you must have;
- Bachelors 2.1 or equivalent in Social sciences
- English Language proficiency ; IELTS overall score 6.0 (5.5 in Listening and Reading with 6.0 in Writing and Speaking)

It’s a full time Master of science. The course is for a period of one year. Preference will be given to applicants with a background in social science with IELTS of overall 6.0 with minimum 6.0 in Writing and Speaking and 5.5 in Listening and Reading.

MA Media and Global Development
Students with a background in Social Sciences, preferably Media, Politics or Development) can apply for this course. It is also a full time one year course. The bachelor’s degree must be minimum 2:1 or equivalent.

It is a Master of Science degree program. It is of 180 credits with compulsory modules (60 credits). The applicants must fulfill the conditions below;
